At-Home Management Strategies Adopted by Orthodontic Patients During COVID-19 Related Closure of Orthodontic Clinics

OBJECTIVE: The vast spread of COVID-19 not only affected the major businesses world but also health care facilities like dentistry. Due to unprecedented closure dental services, on-going orthodontic patients suffered brunt. aim this study was assess at-home management approaches used by tackle complications associated with treatment. METHODOLOGY: It a cross-sectional questionnaire-based carried out from June 15 September 15, 2020 in OPD Jinnah Medical and Dental College, Karachi. A total 300 patients, 208 females 92 males between ages 35 years completed questionnaire on faced them techniques adopted during related office closures. Convenient sampling method for data collection. RESULTS: majority reported were females. Approximately 69.33% (n = 300) responders 31% males. highest numbers lockdown period loose brackets, bands poking archwire. most common hack removing bracket/ cutting free end arch wire nail cutter instrument. CONCLUSION: is responsibility clinician keep touch their pandemic situation through telemedicine portal.
